4th c,mm,n garage

On Friday, 30 January, the TU Delft hosted the 4th c,mm,n garage. The c,mm,n garages give everyone interested in c,mm,n the opportunity to meet other c,mm,nity members. In addition to progress reports, they also offer ample opportunity to present new ideas on new mobility and the c,mm,n concept.

In the morning, students from the three universities of technology gave presentations on the c,mm,n interior, charging points, powertrain and driving simulator. After lunch, the various components of the c,mm,n, the web platform under development by Logica, the roll-out strategy to reach one million electric cars in 2020 and the c,mm,n campaign for the upcoming AutoRAI were discussed in individual sessions. These sessions were followed by a talk by Bram van der Grinten on the cradle to cradle principle and how it can be better integrated into c,mm,n.

This garage was attended by 50-60 people, and for many of them it was their first garage.

multi-functional dashboard presentation

During the garage, the TU Delft interior team presented its concept for a multi-functional dashboard. The dashboard runs through the car like a river and has functions like a route planner, car pool centre, sound system and e-mail client, which are accessed through an interface reminiscent of the iPhone. Functions like these can be accessed safely while the car is driving with other c,mm,ns in convoy mode.
